Three thriller shows to watch on Netflix if you loved ‘His & Hers’
After the slow-paced, feel-good binge sessions of the holidays, Netflix wasted literally no time renewing the appetite for fast-paced, high-stakes thrillers with its latest Alice Feeney adaptation of His & Hers.
Packed with unforeseen twists and turns that can easily put seasoned thriller survivors off the map, His & Hers quickly became the talk of the town since its latest Netflix premiere, but not without good reason. The Netflix version took the liberty of inculcating a select few changes into the adaptation, which only adds to the appeal of the retelling.
But as is the case with most Netflix thrillers, His & Hers also left viewers craving for more shows within its DNA. Thankfully, with the catalogue that Netflix boasts, the hunt is less of a challenge and more of an adventure.
So, in case you’re on the lookout for Netflix shows that give off unexpected plot twists, unprecedented killers, and revenge arcs that run longer than average life spans, here are three thriller shows on Netflix if you loved His & Hers.
Three thriller shows to stream on Netflix if you loved His & Hers
The Resurrected (Chao-jen Hsu and Leste Chen, 2025)
At its heart, His & Hers is a ruthless revenge story, where a mother takes it upon herself to bring justice to her daughter after discovering a series of traumatic events dating back to her 16th birthday. Similarly, The Resurrected is a Taiwanese Netflix original series set in the fictional town of Benkha, which follows two mourning mothers who take a bold step to avenge their daughters, one of whom is dead, and the other, comatose.
The grieving mothers, desperate to seek vengeance on a deceased ringleader of a phone scam who harmed their daughters in ways unimaginable, turn to a mysterious goddess to revive and resurrect the culprit in question. The Resurrected captures their journey of revenge, which unfolds over seven days, forcing the mothers to confront secrets darker than the scam fraud as they navigate moral dilemmas during their quest for justice.
The Glory (Ahn Gil-ho, 2022-2023)
To carry forward the cycle of vengeance on Netflix, the next pit-stop for His & Hers lovers is The Glory. The South Korean psychological thriller tells the story of Moon Dong-eun, a victim of school violence and bullying, who returns with a meticulous scheme to seek revenge on her former school tormentors after landing a job as a homeroom teacher at the elementary school of the bully leader’s child.
Back in the day, Dong-eun had to drop out of school after enduring ruthless and horrific torture at the hands of these bullies. The Glory follows her intricate revenge plot as she dedicates her life to exacting vengeance, targeting the lives and families that made her school years a hellhole, one victim at a time. The story unfolds as she’s assisted by an unlikely ally, who dismantles their lives, ultimately bringing their past crimes to light.
Run Away (Nimer Rashed and Isher Sahota, 2026)
Although Run Away isn’t a revenge thriller per se, revenge is a significant theme within the show’s complex plot, which serves as a multi-layered mystery driven by family secrets and a shady cult. The recent Harlan Coben adaptation, which Netflix dropped at the onset of the new year, follows Simon, a desperate father, whose life comes crashing down when, one fine day, his eldest daughter runs away.
While they do run into each other later at a city park, where he finds his daughter vulnerable and strung out on drugs, the confrontation doesn’t really go down well when he discovers she’s not alone. As Simon loses his daughter once again, he doesn’t give up on his search or his hopes of reuniting the picture-perfect family he once had. But Run Away revolves around this very investigation, pushing him into the dangerous underworld and unveiling secrets so dark that they could tear apart his family forever.
