Before you even know it, Daniel Craig will be back as Benoit Blanc, sporting his trench coat to solve a case beyond belief in the highly anticipated Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery on Netflix.

But until then, if you’re craving some Craig-coded mysteries and thrillers, this Best of Netflix watchlist is specially made for you.

Since the day isn’t far from Blanc’s sleuthing comeback, we are going to keep the watchlist short, approachable, and packed with entertainment. That way, neither would you be racing against time, nor would you have to compromise on the quality of content you consume.

So, if you’re interested in warming up before A Knives Out Mystery returns with a fresh case on the block, here are three Daniel Craig movies to catch up on Netflix.

Three Daniel Craig movies to watch on Netflix

Knives Out (Rian Johnson, 2019)

Daniel Craig might be best known in the spy department for his stint as the iconic 007 in the James Bond franchise, but thanks to the Knives Out film series, his sleuth magic lives on. So, before Wake Up Dead Man graces Netflix and takes away your good night’s sleep, begin where it all started: Knives Out in 2019.

The gripping whodunit sees Craig as Benoit Blanc for the very first time as he’s anonymously called on to investigate the mysterious death of best-selling author Harlan Thombrey right after his 85th birthday. Although the police detectives believe that Thombrey died by suicide, Blanc suspects undoubted foul play as he navigates the victim’s dysfunctional family, searching for answers.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Rian Johnson, 2022)

One of the best parts about watching Daniel Craig put on his suits to spy is that you can never really get enough of it. This means, if Knives Out leaves you yearning for more murder mysteries with Benoit Blanc, hop on to Glass Onion, the second instalment in Rian Johnson’s film series. In the 2022 whodunit, Blanc returns to take on a new case during the COVID-19 pandemic when the wealthy co-founder of Alpha, Miles Bron, hosts a weekend murder mystery game.

The game takes place at the Glass Onion, Bron’s palatial mansion on a private island in Greece. While Bron sends out meticulous puzzle boxes to invite his eccentric group of friends, the “Disruptors,” Benoit joins in, claiming he received one too. But thank god for Blanc disrupting the friends-only party because once the seemingly harmless game begins, body bags aren’t far behind.

Munich (Steven Spielberg, 2005)

In case you’re on the lookout for a different brand of thriller, complete the Daniel Craig marathon with Steven Spielberg’s action thriller, Munich. Based on George Jonas’s 1984 book, Vengeance, an account of the Mossad assassinations in the aftermath of the Munich massacre, the 2005 epic historical drama follows the uprising of strategic retaliations by the Israeli government following the cold-blooded murder of 11 national athletes and their coach at the 1972 Olympics.

Munich picks up with the appointment of Avner Kaufman, portrayed by Eric Bana, who, with the help of a trusted driver, played by Craig, a forger, a bomb-maker, and an ex-soldier, is tasked to carry out a tactical response. While it’s more likely that the binge session will leave you seeking out Netflix’s “More Like This” catalogue, thankfully, by then Wake Up Dead Man will be here to save you from the tiresome scrolling.
