Instead of blocking the number or changing it again for good, Wes begins listening to Jill’s voicemails meant for Isabelle, slowly falling in love with her, despite never having met or conversed with her. Voicemails for Isabelle, currently the third-most-watched rom-com movie on Netflix in 2026, follows Wes as he finds an excuse to visit San Francisco, eventually meeting and developing a bond with Jill, unaware of the rollercoaster journey that awaits him.
Office Romance (Ol Parker, 2026)
Next on the list is Jennifer Lopez’s Office Romance, which has clocked in a staggering 58.4million views since its June release on Netflix. The workplace romantic comedy follows Jackie Cruz, the iron-willed, steadfast CEO of Air Cruz, known for abiding by the book, and most importantly, her company’s strict anti-fraternising policy, whose personal and professional lives come to an unexpected collision when she hires Daniel Blanchflower, an uptight British lawyer.
With Daniel in the scene, a modern reversed power dynamic unfolds, heavily putting workplace boundaries to the test. While bound by corporate rules and a looming lawsuit that could cost Jackie her entire airline, Office Romance follows the duo as they navigate a sizzling, secret workplace romance, trying to contain their intense attraction towards one another, before a business trip blows things out of proportion.
People We Meet on Vacation (Brett Haley, 2026)
Coming to the most-watched rom-com movie from the first half of the year on Netflix, it is People We Meet on Vacation with 77.7million views. The Netflix movie tells the story of Poppy Wright and Alex Nilsen, two polar opposite college best friends who have a pact to take annual summer vacations together. While their union happened honestly by chance, since then, the pair has been platonically inseparable, until a Croatia trip.
The Croatia vacation ends with Poppy and Alex’s estrangement, which lasts two whole years. People We Meet on Vacation follows Poppy, who decides to reclaim her happiness and relive the old days with one last vacation, ultimately convincing Alex to take her to his brother’s wedding.
