Netflix users have been bingeing on the latest thriller series, Pieces of Her, in millions, ever since its release on March 4th, 2022. Created by Minkie Spiro and Charlotte Stoudt, this Toni Collette series is annoying Netflix users for a particular reason.
Based on Karin Slaughter’s eponymous 2018 novel, the thrilling premise features Toni Collette, Bella Heathcote, Joe Dempsie, David Wenham and others in prominent roles.
Colette plays the mother to Heathcote, who tries hard to find more about her mother’s dark past. Heathcote begins to grow suspicious after Collette deftly eliminates the threat during mass shootings.
As Heathcote begins to stumble upon unknown and ominous secrets from her mother’s hidden past, the series abounds in secrets, violence, mystery and shock and explores the changing dynamics of the mother-daughter relationship against a violent backdrop.
However, viewers are increasingly frustrated and annoyed by Heathcote’s “stupid choices” in the series. They have all taken to Twitter to call her character, Andy, “annoying”. One even asked why Andy was “such a baby”.
These choices refer to her unbridled curiosity and inability to drive to Maine and lay low following her mother’s instructions. The duo is part of a witness protection programme, and their lives are in constant danger.
Some have even gone as far as to call her the “most annoying character ever”.
