'The Midnight Club' is coming to Netflix as cast is announced

A new horror series based on the classic Christopher Pike novel, The Midnight Club, has been confirmed by Netflix with the release of the newest cast members. The streaming platform announced the show back in May but now the wheels are firmly in motion.

The team behind The Haunting of Bly Manor have come together to adapt the novel as well as integrating some of Pike’s other works. It has grabbed the attention of fans of both the Netflix show and the novel.

The Midnight Club will be a 10-episode show and will stay true to the original novel as best it can. Set in a hospice for terminally ill teenagers, the main protagonists gather together to share the scariest stories they know. It’s guaranteed to get your gasps going.

The show will star Adia, Ruth Codd, Aya Furukawa, Igby Rigney, Annarah Shephard, William Chris Sumpter and Sauriyan Sapkota as the members of The Midnight Club. There are supporting roles for Zach Gilford, Matt Biedel and Samantha Sloyan too with Heather Langenkamp playing the role of the doctor.

Mike Flanagan, showrunner for The Haunting, has joined forces with The Haunting of Bly Manor writer Leah Fong to bring this new project to the audience. Flanagan will take on the role of the executive producer through Intrepid Pictures. The company recently signed a multi-year deal with Netflix.

The Midnight Club has already grabbed a great deal of anticipation and now, with a cast in place, the hype train has officially left the station.
