‘The Hunting Wives’ Season 2 is coming to Netflix and it looks messy

Sophie and Margo ending the first season with their relationship completely in shambles should probably have been warning enough, but apparently, The Hunting Wives has never been interested in a small mess. And, to be fair, isn’t that why we are all coming back? The 2025 hit Netflix drama is officially coming back with another season, and this time, with plenty of fresh ammunition.

So yes, Sophie and Margo are about to implode again, and Netflix has already given enough away to suggest they are nowhere near done making a mess of each other’s lives. More drama? Hell yeah!

You see, the first season did not end with closure. Instead, there were consequences hanging everywhere, which gives season two plenty to pick up without having to start a new mess. Hope we get the answers this time.

Anyway, enough faffing about. Season two has a date and a new cast, so here is what is actually worth knowing before we enter Maple Brook again this year.

What is the plot?

Season two begins with Sophie and Margo on the outs after everything that happened between them, but umm, not for too long. Soon enough, there will be old secrets jumping out from the graves, and they’ll be back together in no time… At least we hope they do.

Elsewhere, Jed Banks is making a run for governor, which sounds risky enough before remembering how much baggage Maple Brook already has lying around, while Deputy Salazar finds herself chasing another major case. Netflix is also teasing new questions around Sophie and that car from the season one finale, so clearly, the past has not finished causing trouble just yet.

Who is in the cast?

Brittany Snow is returning as Sophie, with Malin Akerman back as Margo and Dermot Mulroney reprising Jed Banks. Karen Rodriguez also returns as Deputy Salazar.

But the new names are enough to make things juicy: John Stamos plays Chase Brylan, while Dale Dickey joins as Zelda Moffitt, and Cam Gigandet appears as Gentle John Moffitt. Kim Matula plays Nadia Kelly, with Alex Fitzalan cast as Lincoln Trout.

Is there a trailer?

Not yet. Netflix has released first-look photos instead, giving fans a quick peek at Sophie and Margo’s (strained) reunion. So we’ll have to wait a bit.

When does The Hunting Wives Season 2 release on Netflix?

Season 2 premieres on November 26th, which, yes, is Thanksgiving. Because apparently, turkey and family rows were not enough.
