The 'Harry Potter' series has arrived on Netflix UK

Fans of Harry Potter, ready your wands because Netflix has just added all eight movies to their streaming service in the UK and Ireland.

The news has caused excited panic across social media as friends and family organise movie marathons, planning to cover all the movies about the wizarding school as quickly as possible. The series kicked off back in 2001 with the release of Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone and ended a decade later in 2011 with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

This is the very first time that Netflix has made all the Harry Potter movies available, boosting their back catalogue with a fan-favourite series that will no doubt retain subscribers.

Warner Bros. has recently announced its plans to create a Harry Potter TV series, with details currently being scarce as to who might star in the show and if anyone from the original movie franchise will return. What is known is that the company hopes to film a more accurate re-telling of the book series written by J.K. Rowling, with the movie series omitting much of the series’ details.

Take a look at the announcement from Netflix below.
