Eddie Horniman suits up in The Gentlemen season two, and honestly, what more can Netflix viewers ask for?

In the second season, the stakes have doubled with Eddie no longer resembling the reluctant duke who accidentally ran into the Glass family’s cannabis kingdom but a seasoned operator eyeing a massive expansion of the enterprise. However, as Bobby’s overtly irrational and impulsive decisions threaten that ambition, Eddie and Susie find themselves at a crossroads – either to sprint into action or to put everything on the line.

Well, Eddie has honestly come a long way from swearing to do nothing with the business to doing everything for it. So, it doesn’t come as a total surprise when he pulls the plug on his partnership with Susie and Bobby and directly strikes a deal with the mafia boss Marco. But what does catch the audience off guard is the romantic spark between Eddie and Bella, which soon materialises in a dreamy Italian wedding.

Yet, as they prepare to go on a honeymoon, tragedy strikes and Bella is killed in a plane crash. Although it may look like an accident, something tells Eddie there’s more to her death than meets the eye, forcing him to tread down the road to exact a deadly revenge. But does he get what he wants?

Does Eddie get his revenge in The Gentlemen season two?

When Bella’s death directs Eddie’s suspicion in The Gentlemen season two initially at Bobby, the captured and tortured soldier in the UK who was caught transporting weapons at the time of Bella’s plane crash, tells him what he wants to hear, convincing him further. With the friction brewing between Eddie and Susie since the exchange at the wedding, Eddie doesn’t think twice before getting a gun to an Italian hitman without Susie’s knowledge via Marco.

But what he doesn’t know is that Susie, herself, is too busy tracking down the real culprit. It turns out she, too, had initial doubts about Bobby, but she learned that he cleared Eddie of his £100 million debt to Stan. While that convinces Eddie to reconsider his opinion on Susie and Bobby, everything is clear when he brings her out in front of his captor. This leads the protagonist to prevent Bobby’s murder at the sauna before it’s too late.

While the bloody confrontation culminates in Bobby and Eddie’s victory, a major breakthrough happens when Freddy calls Lady Sabrina out of the blue to ask if everyone’s fine, reasoning that he recently had vivid dreams suggesting someone might be in trouble. As Eddie learns about Freddy’s phone call at a quiet dinner with Sabrina, he confides in Marco about his rekindled suspicions, suggesting that Freddy couldn’t have done it without help.

As their trail leads them to Gospel John, Eddie and co lay a meticulous trap, luring him to an airport-bound warehouse, where John finds himself severely cornered. He confesses to helping Freddy kill Bella, reminding him that his drive for vengeance began when Eddie killed John’s brother in the debut season.

Although Eddie leaves John still alive, quite surprisingly, it is for a reason. The season doesn’t end without a blood-soaked confrontation between Eddie and Freddy, with the latter pleading for his life. While the former doesn’t take either down, he forces Freddy to kill John, completing the cycle of revenge.
