‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2 brings the crew back this May

If you thought the drama between the friend group in The Four Seasons had wrapped up after the first season… It’s time to think again. The hit Netflix dramedy is officially returning with season two this May, bringing the gang back together for another round of vacations, and fans can’t be more excited. Get ready to witness yet another round of complicated relationships and brutally honest conversations.

And if season one proved anything, it’s that even a peaceful trip doesn’t stay peaceful once this crew enters the chat.

When The Four Seasons premiered on Netflix last year, it easily became one of the most trending and beloved shows that people couldn’t stop recommending. It had humour but was also filled with very real emotions, and it felt refreshingly honest. Viewers saw pieces of their own friendships and relationships reflected on screen, which made the story hit even harder.

The premise is simple on the surface: six long-time friends, three couples, have a tradition of taking vacations together throughout the year. Each trip lines up with a different season, which is where the show gets its title. But the group’s comfortable routine is thrown completely off balance when one couple reveals that their marriage is falling apart.

That moment hits like an electric shock to the entire friend circle. Before they realise it, old, unresolved tensions come out in the open. Even loyalties shift, and the group starts to realise that the relationships they thought were rock solid might actually be hanging by a thread.

A huge part of what made the first season so successful was the cast. The show features performers who bring both comic timing and emotional depth to their roles.

Tina Fey leads the series as Kate, delivering dry humour, which she is famous for. Will Forte plays Jack, and then there is Colman Domingo as Danny. Marco Calvani plays Claude, Danny’s partner, adding another layer to the relationships within the friend circle. The crew also includes Steve Carell and Kerri Kenney-Silver, who round out the group. Again, the cast did a splendid job with their respective roles.

What makes their chemistry work so well is that the friendships feel lived-in. Like these characters have history. They know each other’s quirks and flaws and the buttons they shouldn’t push (but sometimes push anyway).

Season one ended with plenty of unresolved tension, which is exactly why fans are eager to see where the story goes next. Now, season two is expected to pick up with the group still dealing with the fallout of everything that happened during those vacations. We definitely will see a change in relationships with trust shifting and, most importantly, the changed dynamics of the group. Now the question is whether these friendships can survive after everything that’s come out.

No matter what happens, one thing is guaranteed for sure: when this group gets together, something always goes down. And come May, fans will be more than ready to check back in with the crew and see what kind of mess their next vacation brings.
