‘The Four Seasons’ is returning to Netflix in 2026

It’s officially the season of renewals on Netflix, and the next in line for 2026 is the Tina Fey-led series, The Four Seasons.

The first season, adapted from the 1981 Alan Alda film of the same name, tells the story of three couples who form a longstanding, close-knit group. But when one of the couples breaks up, the group begins to see cracks amidst them.

Over the course of eight episodes, The Four Seasons, comprising Kate and Jack, Nick and Anne, Danny and Claude, and Ginny, go on four enviable vacations.

The first time we greet the squad, they’re on their way to Nick and Anne’s lake house for some R&R. But they’re caught off guard by Nick, who announces his intentions to leave Anne in pursuit of more adventure at this point in his life. The group then heads to an eco-resort months later, chosen by Ginny, Nick’s new and younger girlfriend, which triggers the other lovebirds to address the shortcomings of their own marriages.

In episodes five and six, the group returns to the leafy alma mater where they reunite for “dry fall,” a confrontational student play, and Frisbee, before they go their own ways to embark on two snowy vacations in the final episodes.

Following its premiere on May 1st, the first season of The Four Seasons reigned in the top spot on the most popular series chart for two weeks straight with a total of 24.4million views. And the renewal should be welcome news for those who have watched the debut season, which concluded with a massive cliffhanger when Nick lost his life in a car accident during his ski trip with Ginny.

When the squad gathers to mourn and offer their condolences, Ginny reveals that she’s pregnant with Nick’s child. So, it remains to be seen how the group confronts these ups and downs of ageing in season two of The Four Seasons.

Although only time will reveal how the group handles everything that’s coming their way in the second season, the good news is the audience doesn’t have to wait long to get their answers. That’s right.

The Four Seasons is coming back for more with a second season on Netflix in 2026. While Netflix hasn’t revealed a release date, the confirmation is promising enough. So, stay tuned for further updates, including new cast members, the 2026 release date, and more.
