The five worst movies to watch on Netflix

Amongst the fierce race to produce non-stop entertainment and maintain a chain of free-flowing content, Netflix often makes additions that aren’t the brightest. This article focuses on those hidden gems that have received the title of the five worst movies to watch on Netflix.

Movies of this kind often are watched several times by viewers to understand what went wrong. In reality, it can be a number of things. From poor direction to inadequate cinematography. Flop scripts to sketchy screenplays. When it comes to the whole industry behind the pipeline of production, things can go wrong in a number of ways.

Expect to see a collection of movies that reek of poor theory, terrible direction and a lack of quality content. However, there is some value in watching what might be the worst movies on the streaming platform.

See movies from Adam DeVine, Jared Leto and a stupendously awful addition from Adam Sandler. Find the full list below.

5. Game Over, Man! (2018)

When three individuals (Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson) get stuck in a hostage situation in a hotel placed in Los Angeles, things get weird. Not only did the producers stretch the movie to weird extremes, but it also lacked the humour it promised to serve. One of the prime Netflix originals that received an abundance of harsh critique.

4. Jenny’s Wedding (2015)

Jenny (Katherine Heigl), who is openly lesbian, finally decides to tie the knot with her five-year-long partner, Kitty (Alexis Bledel). However, she is still closeted to her conventional family, and when they happen to find out who she really is, they are torn apart.

A film with an extremely similar plot present on the same platform is Happiest Season. Although this movie tries to venture into unconventional themes, it does so by generalising them.

3. Naked (2017)

This is a basic approach towards a concept that has been done several times in the history of cinema. Loop films are based on characters reliving one day on a loop until they figure their way out.

Like Palm Springs and the well-known series Russian Doll, this film tries to encapture the life of a man Marlon Wayans who keeps waking up naked in an elevator on his wedding day. Impressive plot with a not-so-impressive execution.

2. The Outsider (2018)

When Oscar winner Jared Leto starred in The Outsider, the film had already jumped a level on expectations. Alongside an interesting plot and a promising cast, this film really had to true potential, which is why it can be coined the second worst piece amongst others.

Leto is an American POW based in Japan, trying to climb the ladder of the Yakuza crime organisation. However, the implementation remains unfortunate and disengaging.

1. The Do-Over (2016)

With a star-studded cast including Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Paula Patton, this movie can be all types of confusing for viewers. With a weak plot, the film fails to execute any attempt at rescuing this piece of media.

Adam Sandler and David Spade decided to fake their own deaths in the movie, after which they realised they were actually quite miserable in their new lives. A very predictable plot, with a very predictable incompetent execution, and yet another flop added to the list of Netflix’s worst.
