‘The Crown' to focus on Prince William and Kate Middleton from Season 6

The sixth season of The Crown is set to feature Prince William and Kate Middleton. Currently filming in St Andrews, Scotland, the forthcoming season will star Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy as the college-age couple.

William and Kate met in 2001 while studying at the University of St Andrews. The couple’s relationship has been followed by the tabloids since then. They announced their engagement in November 2010 and were married on April 29th, 2011, at Westminster Abbey. They have three children: Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales.

Season six of The Crown will focus on the Royal Family during the late 1990s, including the death of William’s mother, Princess Diana, in 1997. While it’s been suggested that the show will not show the car crash that caused her death, it will follow the leadup and aftermath.

Prince William was recently mentioned in his brother Harry’s memoir, Spare, in which it’s revealed that William physically attacked Harry after insulting his wife, Meghan Markle. Harry wrote that William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and… knocked me to the floor.”

All of this comes after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
