The 10 most watched movies on Netflix this week: November 2024

A true variety of movies is currently taking over Netflix’s top ten most-watched films this week. As the nights grow shorter, more families are taking the time to curl up on the sofa and get stuck into an exciting motion picture. The result, given the variety of families who will be watching, means there is a variety of movies in the top ten this week.

Seemingly with nothing connecting them except for entertainment, the top ten most watched films on the streaming platform in the opening week of November consist of superhero blockbusters, crime dramas, serial killer slashers and family-friendly features.

The new film Don’t Move is at the top of the charts this week, clocking 42,900,000 hours viewed. Potentially one of the most harrowing and tense crime films on the platform at the moment, it follows Iris, a woman played by Kelsey Asbille, who is injected by a serial killer with a paralytic agent.

Her body begins to completely shut down as she is slowly rendered unable to move and speak. Through limited movement and with bursts of genius, she needs to do everything possible to try and escape her killer. It’s truly edge-of-your-seat entertainment, and while this is only the film’s second week in the top ten, you can expect it to stick around for some time.

Just underneath is Time Cut, with over 35,000,000 hours viewed. This is another murderous title but one that has elements of sci-fi intertwined. In the film, Lucy, played by Madison Bailey, travels back in time to the day before a masked killer murders her older sister. With her knowledge of the future, Lucy has to try and stop the killer from murdering her sister before it’s too late and history repeats itself.

The public does not just want to watch stories about killing, though. Some family-friendly movies are also doing well, as Sing celebrates an unbelievable 15 weeks in the top ten most-watched films. Right behind it is The Secret Life of Pets, which is similar in tone and also one that people of all ages can enjoy.

Following the release of the final installation of the Venom franchise, Venom: The Last Dance, the film that came before it, Let There Be Carnage, is also celebrating its fourth week in the top ten. While the Venom movies always seem to receive some controversy upon release, there is no denying that people are happy to watch them at home when they come out on streaming services.
