The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: October 2025

Every week, Netflix US proves we are all watching for completely different reasons. While some of us want murder, some want frosting, and a surprising number just want Ms Rachel to buy them five minutes of silence. Doesn’t make sense? It will once you look at this week’s Top 10 list.

At number one, obviously, is Monster: The Ed Gein Story, which is keeping America’s obsession with serial killers alive and well. And the reason why it is so obvious is that it is based on America’s biggest and most gruesome serial killer. The fact that it’s a true crime doc doesn’t stop it from being beautifully shot. But it is emotionally exhausting and impossible to turn off, even when you’re tired of seeing basements. You’d think we’d had enough, but no.

Then there is Boots, the wild-card hit that somehow everyone’s talking about without actually knowing how to describe it. It’s unpredictable and full of that nervous energy that makes you greedy for just one more episode. It’s giving debut-album energy, which is rough, and the first song gets a bit hard around the edges, but then it becomes completely magnetic.

The Diplomat is back with a third season, and it is a rare reminder that not every Netflix hit has to involve murder or dating pods. Sometimes grown-ups with real jobs make good TV, too. Keri Russell remains unbothered by collapsing governments and relationship drama, and the new season just doubles down on her calm-in-a-storm charm. It is smart television that still feels bingeable, which is rare.

And of course, Love Is Blind refuses to leave. Season nine is proof that nothing unites America like watching strangers emotionally combust on camera. It’s predictable yet somehow still addictive.

When you need a break from emotional damage, Is It Cake? Halloween is waiting. It is nothing but bakers making edible tombstones and haunted houses while the judges lose their minds trying to guess what’s real. It’s the only kind of stress anyone actually wants. Moreover, it completely balances the horror of true crime shows and serious dramas with its absurdity.

Raw is, as usual, swinging between the sixth and seventh spots on the list, and this time the wrestling show decided to settle on the sixth spot. It is followed by No One Saw Us Leave, which again lands on the darker side of the lineup. It is one of those shows that makes you turn down the brightness because everything feels like a secret.

Landing on number eight is Wayward, which keeps things slow and deliberate. It ranked in the top five for a while, but now most of the viewers have watched it. Still, it’s holding a tight spot in the lineup.

And then there’s Ms Rachel. Twice. Two full seasons sitting proudly in the Top 10 and boldly proving that toddlers are more powerful than the Netflix algorithm. Somewhere out there, a parent is crying tears of relief, and honestly, they deserve that win.
