The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: January 2026
So we can all agree that limited series are clearly the main characters of January, given that HIS & HERS and Run Away are sitting right at the top of the Netflix US charts, and you know what? We are here for it.
People are finally back to bingeing stories that actually end without worrying about a cliffhanger, stress or a five-season commitment. All you need is a good story with intense plots and sharp endings, and that’s all. And clearly, America is in for it.
But even in the middle of that, there is one show that is sitting there like it owns the list? Stranger Things. Yep, still here. It’s been about two weeks since it ended, but people are either deep in rewatch mode or just catching up for the first time, and we can’t blame them. Not everyone caught up the first time, and with that finale, people do need to go and rewatch the whole season to piece everything together.
All five seasons except season four are back in the mix, and season five is holding strong in the top three. It feels like the country is in a collective Hawkins hangover, and no one is ready to let it go just yet. It sure is the end of an era.
Right in the middle of all this, a new entry is climbing the charts fast. It’s not a new show, but Netflix brought it back. We’re talking about 11.22.63. This James Franco-starring time-travel thriller from 2016 just shot up the charts again, because apparently, we are all in our alternate-history era. Based on the Stephen King book, it sends a high school teacher back to the 1960s to stop the JFK assassination. The fact that US viewers are loving it in 2026 is quite on brand.
And of course, we have Marcello Hernández: American Boy ranking at number five in the charts too. He is the SNL breakout who has been all over TikTok lately, and this comedy special is his official Netflix debut. If you have seen him roast Miami guys or scream about fake cousins at family functions, you already know this one is a must-watch.
Then there is Raw, obviously, which dropped another new episode last week and made sure to mark its spot in the Top 10. Oh, and Ms Rachel is in the mix too. Like it or not, she is streaming strong, holding it down for every exhausted parent in America. Her show is the babysitter-slash-lifesaver people didn’t know they needed. Plus, it’s fun seeing Stranger Things seasons three and two back up here; season three, especially, is getting so much love all over again. That Scoops Ahoy summer was indeed iconic.
