It’s safe to say that Stranger Things is EVERYWHERE. It did not just top the charts, it devoured them. Season five came in hot, but the way the US audience went back and pulled seasons one, two, and four right back into the Top 10. We call it obsession.

And it’s not the audiences’ fault, to be fair. Netflix brought the season three years later, so it was natural for people to catch up. And they did not stop at the finale. They jumped back in and checked timelines because with this show, you can’t stop at one point or scene. The rewatch energy was in full force. and it’s showing in the charts.

Then you have got Dave Chappelle, who only needs a thumbnail and a title to start a storm. People knew it was coming and streamed it the second it dropped. That’s how it goes. Whether you agree with him or brace for impact, the result’s the same. You watch. And the numbers speak for themselves. It got attention fast, and it got people talking. No surprise there.

Right after that, Tom Segura appeared and gathered in his own crowd with a completely different tone and different pace. Still a hit. US audiences love stand-up that sounds like a private conversation with no filter.

And of course Emily in Paris is still here. Americans do not watch it for the story. They watch it because it makes no sense. Maybe it’s the outfits, the job, or the life choices; it seems relaxing to watch. And the best part is that you do not have to follow the logic. You’re not supposed to. That’s the fun.

Then came Sean Combs: The Reckoning. A documentary like that is a recipe for a Netflix blockbuster when the name involved used to be everywhere. People were curious, and once it started, it kept pulling them in. The US audience knows a takedown when it sees one, and this one had all the markers. And just like that, it landed on number five.

Man Vs Baby still being here makes total sense. Americans have a long history of watching a stranger fail at parenting. It’s comforting and funny and a comforting escape from real life.

And then, without warning, The Closer. A procedural from another decade that still pulls numbers because people in the US have always loved this format.

That’s your list. Americans went back to Hawkins and got way too into stand-up comedies. Just shows that made them feel something familiar. That’s what stuck.
