If you also opened the Netflix US Top 10 series list thinking Stranger Things must be sitting at the top like a queen, you couldn’t be more wrong. Sure, it is dominating the global charts, and people everywhere are deep in their Hawkins rewatches, but the US audience? Not so easy to please. They have made it clear they want something else this week, and it is showing.

And right at the top? Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua. Of course it is. The second it dropped, it blew up. Not just because it was a fight but because it was THIS fight. Whether people tuned in to see a knockout or just to see if Jake Paul would finally shut up, the views came flooding in. In all true sense, it’s exactly the type of event Netflix knows the US audience won’t scroll past.

Right behind it? Emily in Paris: season five. It’s back, and it’s more dramatic than the last one. Of course, Americans are watching or probably hate-watching, but watching. It feels a bit stupid because at this point, Emily could pitch an ad campaign to a bag of croissants and still get a raise. And the show knows exactly what it’s doing. People are posting screenshots, rolling their eyes, then clicking the next episode.

Now let’s talk Sean Combs: The Reckoning. This one has been climbing fast. People from all over the world, but especially the US, have been following the real-life story for a long time. The docuseries gets into it without any filters. And whether you are in the industry or have just been reading the headlines, this one will help your eyes get opened wider.

Then comes Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable. Not a shocker. When Chappelle releases something, it lands in the Top 10, and that’s inevitable. Say what you want, but he still pulls attention like no one else.

Now here’s the twist. Stranger Things five is trending. Yes, it’s there, but at number five. Globally, it’s running the show. All five seasons are charting everywhere. But in the US? Viewers are mixing things up. Season four also made it in, but this crowd’s not in full rewatch mode just yet. They are holding back. Waiting for that Christmas Day drop.

Man vs Baby is still hanging on, just lower here than on the global chart. Rowan Atkinson trying to parent is a concept that kind of sells itself. Americans grew up with Atkinson’s faces, so even if the humour’s a little weird, the curiosity is there.
