The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: December 2025

The American audience doesn’t like to play around with their favourites, and it’s completely evident from the peak of the most popular series chart on Netflix US.

Although the hype surrounding Sean Combs: The Reckoning is visible from its global rankings on Netflix’s weekly charts, this marks the second week in a row that the four-part docu-series has topped the US charts.

Speaking of fan favourites, Stranger Things season five is crowned second, which means the craze is slightly higher in the United States, when compared to its global momentum. Moreover, given that the second volume is scheduled to be released in no less than a week on Christmas Day, this is just the calm before the storm.

Moving on, we have this week’s global chart-topper, Man vs Baby, starring Rowan Atkinson, on third. While this isn’t the only comedy on the list, it’s surely one of the few that has caught the viewers’ eye since its release.

Having said that, we come back to the most popular series chart in the US, which has The Abandons strutting at four. Surprisingly, this is the only show this week to have mirrored its regional and international rankings.

What’s not a surprise is Raw: 2025 – December 8, 2025, succeeding the Western drama in the US charts, even though the former is ranked tenth in the global charts. But just in case you feel the trends are somewhat predictable, you’re gravely mistaken.

While Stranger Things enjoys a 50% takeover in the global rankings, the diversity of trends is undeniable in the US. Love & Death, the true-crime limited series based on a chilling true story, is positioned fifth in the chart, while the psychological crime drama, The Beast in Me, is sixth.

Up next, we have an emotional drama series, quite the fish out of water, Ripple, on the seventh. According to What’s On Netflix, the show from Lionsgate Canada was initially bound for Hallmark+. However, akin to The Hunting Wives, it became a Netflix-first release (not a Netflix original).

On the ninth, there’s a holiday comedy special, Matt Rife: Unwrapped – A Christmas Crowd Work Special. Finally, rounding out the most popular series chart in the US is the fourth season of Stranger Things, calling it a wrap for the week.
