You take one look at the Netflix US chart, and the whole thing immediately tells you that December is in full swing. Every title in the list shows that it has earned its place and tells you a lot about the current mood of America.

Right at the front sits Sean Combs: The Reckoning, holding attention with sheer confidence. The minute it arrived, the national conversation shifted in its direction. People who usually glide past documentaries suddenly have detailed opinions, and people across the country have been proving that they were right about Diddy and his wicked deeds.

Following this, there is, of course, Stranger Things season five, which has people glued to the screens. It’s been more than two weeks since its release, but since Netflix decided to keep a huge gap of a month between both volumes, people have no option but to watch the first one on repeat.

Matt Rife’s Unwrapped – A Christmas Crowd Work Special has also carved out a space for itself. The timing is perfect because it fits December’s slightly mischievous spirit. People are streaming it while sorting out holiday chores or while simply searching for something cheerful during quiet evenings. The special delivers the kind of spontaneous humour crowd work thrives on, and that has clearly helped it climb the list.

Then there is The Abandons, holding its spot at number four with impressive commitment. The series arrived without much noise, but the viewer response kept growing. The show appeals to people who want something stubborn on their watchlist. Once someone begins, they tend to continue, and that consistent pull is exactly what keeps it positioned so firmly in the Top 10.

While season five of Stranger Things is flexing its second position, seasons one and two have secured their positions at number five and six, respectively. There is no doubt that people have to revisit the show to catch up on the new season, and at the same time, we can’t forget the first-time watchers.

On the emotional front, The Beast in Me is shining bright with its fourth week in the Top 10 Netflix US series list. The limited format of the show helps it stay sharp. Right beside it, Love & Death has pushed itself back into circulation, surprising viewers who missed it earlier. Raw, as usual, has joined the list at number nine, which is a bit concerning because the regular spot for this show is number seven. Nevertheless, the new arrival always gets a burst of energy and somehow manages to make it back to the list.
