The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: August 2026

The global Netflix chart can do its thing because the US list has its own mood this week, and you know that is where the fun is.

Sure, they both have their similarities, but we are here to talk about the fun rearrangement in the list. At number one, Outer Banks season five is running the show, and sadly, it is also the final season.

However, the creators have said they always imagined the Pogues’ story as a five-season journey, right down to knowing the final scene. So this is not Netflix pulling the plug… the ending was planned years ago.

Tires is at number two, and this season, poor Will is still trying to keep Valley Forge Auto from going completely off the rails, while Shane, as usual, is making every problem worse just by breathing at this point.

Then Raw barges into third with its August 17th episode, and wrestling fans got one hell of a closing twist. Solo Sikoa looked ready to fall back in line with Roman Reigns, only to hit him with a Samoan Spike and walk off with LA Knight instead. Family reunion? Not quite.

At number four, Conversations with a Killer: The Charles Manson Tapes closes Joe Berlinger’s anthology.

It also spends time with people who lived inside Manson’s orbit, rather than making him the only voice in the room. Dark stuff, but then again, viewers are curious, and when have Netflix US viewers ever resisted true crime?

My Life With the Walter Boys takes fifth, and this one had fans long before Netflix came into the picture. Ali Novak began writing the story on Wattpad when she was 15, and it went on to rack up more than 80 million reads before becoming a published novel. Huh, no wonder it arrived with a crowd waiting.

The bottom half gets a bit bonkers. My Brilliant Career sits at six, Danny Go! takes seven, while Swedish thriller Blood Sacrifice lands at eight; that one comes from George Kay, the writer behind Lupin and Hijack. Ms Rachel takes ninth, while The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare closes the ten.
