The 10 most popular series on Netflix US this week: April 2026
You can easily tell a lot about what people are in the mood for just by looking at this week’s Netflix US series chart, and this week, it’s a bit of everything. True crime is trending as usual while still making space for some titles that released a few weeks ago.
At the top, Trust Me: The False Prophet is doing well and not just in the US, but internationally. The people behind it didn’t just cover the story; they actually spent time inside the community they were investigating. In case you haven’t come across it, Trust Me is a true crime show about the rise of a self-proclaimed religious leader who built a following by claiming that he had answers to all the questions.
The reason why people are liking it so much is that it’s not told from a third party’s point of view. The story is narrated by the people who lived it, and those details are the reason behind its massive popularity.
Then you’ve got Danny Go!, which feels like it’s come from a totally opposite world to the previous show. It’s an interactive kids’ show built around songs and movement activities, encouraging kids to get up and dance. A fun fact about this one is that it did not start on Netflix but built its audience on YouTube first. In the world where true crime shows and thrillers rule the charts, it’s refreshing to watch a kids’ show take the second spot.
Love on the Spectrum season four being on number three isn’t surprising at all. By now, it’s got a proper following. It’s a well-known fact that viewers of Netflix US absolutely love a good reality show, and Love on the Spectrum is a fresh experiment in the ocean of regular dating shows. The production involves people who understand neurodivergent experiences, which is why the conversations feel quite natural.
Then there is the latest episode of Raw, which is part of a much bigger shift. This episode was all about building hype for WrestleMania, with big moments from start to finish. CM Punk got a lot of attention with a strong promo aimed at Roman Reigns. While Brock Lesnar’s and Oba Femi’s contract signing quickly turned into a fight, with tables getting smashed.
On number five, we have Big Mistakes, which is interesting mainly because of who is behind it. Dan Levy returning with a new series after Schitt’s Creek was always going to get attention. It is mainly comedy with an equal number of crime elements, which is a rare combination but is certainly well executed in Big Mistakes.
Further down, XO, Kitty, season three is still in the charts. At this point, it’s running on familiarity as much as anything else. It is followed by another sensation from Netflix, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, with its unique storyline and unexpected twists.
The last few entries include a Netflix staple, aka Ms Rachel, and we also have Salish & Jordan Matter from YouTube now on Netflix. Along with Danny Go!, these two have also brought their audience from YouTube to Netflix. The last entry in the list is The Predator of Seville, making sure the list ends the way it started: with true crime.
