The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: September 2026
Apparently, people are doing homework before they binge now because this week’s Netflix Top 10 series chart has some old ones coming back as their sequels return. We call it revision before television.
But who has ever come close to beating a juicy true crime doc? And hence, the first spot goes to Death of the Pastor’s Wife, the documentary about Mica Miller, whose 2024 death followed public claims of fear and abuse within her marriage to pastor John-Paul Miller. The series uses her journals and footage, alongside accounts from people who knew her, to piece together the story.
Then comes Beauty in Black season three, and bloody hell, Kimmie’s life has changed. She has gone from dancer to Mrs Bellarie. The FBI raid has left members of the family facing arrest, and Mallory is now helping her. Mallory! After everything between them, who knew?
Guy Ritchie gets two entries with The Gentlemen. Season two brings Eddie Horniman back with bigger ambitions, while season one is back in the chart because viewers are revisiting the story first.
Outer Banks season five is still in the list, taking the Pogues into their final run after JJ’s death. Ranking at number five is not bad for a show that has been on the list for a few weeks now.
Instadocs: The Decoy Plane reconstructs the July Air Force One switch that left travelling reporters on the wrong aircraft while the president departed under Secret Service protection.
Danny Go! season two and Salish & Jordan Matter season three are permanent residents of the list, while Leanne Season 2 and Earle Meets World complete the chart. It’s surprising how Raw didn’t make the list this week, but can’t blame the show when it is competing with documentaries and sequels.
Next week could shake things up again, but for now, these ten are running the circus.
