The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: September 2026
Picking a lane has always been overrated, and Netflix, of all platforms, knows that by heart; apparently, so do its viewers, because this week’s Top 10 will give you the look of an entire batch of reagents emptied into one cauldron. Take one look at it and tell what isn’t there.
At the top of this messy list is Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, with Ella Beatty stepping into the shoes of Lizzie Borden, the Massachusetts woman accused and later acquitted of murdering her father and stepmother in 1892. Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan are back behind the anthology, so naturally, nobody came here expecting sunshine and cuddles.
Now for a violent change of scenery: Crew Girl has made it to number two, swapping axes for oars. Miku Martineau plays Teagan Tao, with competitive rowing served with a generous sprinkle of teen romance and the inevitable love triangle. It did better than expected.
The Gentlemen season two, meanwhile, has Eddie Horniman back in the business, except he is no longer quite the rabbit caught in the headlights of Britain’s criminal underworld. His business is getting bigger, undoubtedly, but hey, don’t forget the catastrophically bad decisions!
And then, without so much as knocking, in strolls Gabby’s Dollhouse season fourteen. It’s nice to see a kids’ show holding its spot amongst the murderers and shady businesses.
The real wink from the Netflix chart, though, is The Gentlemen season one, which has been in the charts for two weeks now. It’s not surprising that it is back in the charts, but what’s shocking is that it is holding its spot in the top five. Eddie Horniman’s charm takes the credit.
Things get even more scattershot further down, with Raw: 2026 – September 14th, 2026 rubbing shoulders with Death of the Pastor’s Wife and Jo Koy’s Blue in the Face. Wrestling, true crime and stand-up comedy sharing the same neighbourhood on Netflix… Ah, what a time to be alive!
Finally, Mark Rober’s CrunchLabs season five and Beauty in Black season three close the door behind them, and that’s all for this week.
