The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: October 2026

John Steinbeck published East of Eden in 1952, and, would you look at that, after 70 years, that story is topping the Netflix chart like the queen it is. Sure, some credit also goes to Florence leading the charge, and now, 6.5 million people have piled in within four days. Bloody hell, talk about a second wind.

This book has been around long enough to watch several adaptations have their moment, and now it is back doing numbers most new releases would bite your hand off for.

Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story has lost the top spot, but don’t worry, it had its fair share of treading. Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s anthology is doing just fine, thank you very much, and Ella Beatty becoming the first woman to lead a Monster season gives this one a different feel.

A Different World didn’t get a chance to ever come to the top, which makes it easy to conclude that the show’s most relatable to the American audience, which makes sense since it’s trending at number one there. Maleah Joi Moon leads the new Hillman crew as Deborah Wayne, while Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison return as Whitley and Dwayne.

Then there is Wonka’s The Golden Ticket, which is a surprising addition to the list because telling someone you are turning Charlie and the Chocolate Factory into a reality show sounds a bit crazy, but the numbers speak for themselves.

And LEGO ONE PIECE? The Straw Hats have conquered live action, so of course somebody was going to turn the lot of them into tiny plastic bricks sooner or later. Usopp retells the first two seasons to Chopper across the two-part special, and viewers have shoved it straight into the top five.

Further down, The Gentlemen has done that very Netflix thing where a new season arrives, and suddenly everyone runs to the first one for a recap. So now, both seasons are charting, while Crew Girl and the September 28th edition of Raw are still on the list.

And bringing up the rear is Gabby’s Dollhouse Season 14, which, good grief, is fourteen seasons, and you are still making the weekly Top 10? There’s some serious mileage in that dollhouse we’re telling you. Guess the young viewership of Netflix wanted to establish dominance.
