The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: October 2025

There used to be a time when the Netflix Top 10 list felt predictable with one trending show, a random rom-com, and a docuseries no one finished. Not this week. The lineup feels more specific, like everyone’s watching on purpose.

At number one, Monster: The Ed Gein Story is proof that true crime fans never rest. The show has been ranking in the top five since its release, and the fact that it is dark, slow, and exactly what people want to watch. And why not? Gein is a real-life monster who was so brutal that his actions inspired filmmakers for ages to create different types of horror movies. People are already arguing online about whether it’s Murphy’s best work yet.

Then there is Boots, which is like the new kid that came out of nowhere. Everyone started it out of curiosity and ended up finishing it in a single sitting. It’s fast and kind of strange, but in that fun, unpredictable way. You never really know what it’s doing, but you can’t stop watching.

The Diplomat is back, too, and honestly, people are watching it non-stop. Keri Russell somehow makes political panic look like performance art. She’s running around trying to stop disasters and still managing great hair, which is truly inspirational.

And of course, Victoria Beckham is having her main character moment. The limited series is exactly what it should be: sharp and a little smug in the most endearing way. It’s full of tiny details that make you realise why she is so iconic. You finish it and immediately want to wear heels indoors.

Then there’s Wayward, which is yet another masterpiece of Netflix that people are obsessed with. The show is based on a fictional story of a cop and a weird school and, in all true means, does not feel fictional at all.

Balancing it all out is Is It Cake? Halloween, because of course, Halloween is close, and when you snap out of these true crime gruesome shows, there is only one thing that can cure you, and that’s fondant. It’s ridiculous but comforting. Bakers are carving edible monsters while everyone takes it way too seriously. It’s absurd, and that’s exactly why people love it.

Meanwhile, Love Is Blind is on season nine, and honestly, at this point, it feels like background noise for the entire planet. People proposing through walls, crying over eye contact, and acting shocked when it doesn’t work out, yet somehow, still can’t get away.

Raw, as usual, has cemented its spot in the Top 10 list, and at this point, it is no surprise at all. And House of Guinness has slipped from the top five to now being at number nine. But the old-money family drama with that Irish edge is something people are still discovering, and bingeing.

And yes, Wednesday has been on the list for a while, and for the initial four to six weeks, it also crowned the list, but now has slipped to number ten. Yet, it is still stealing the spotlight like it never left. Jenna Ortega’s dry humour could carry an entire universe at this point.

So yeah, this week’s lineup is all over the place, but that’s exactly what makes it good.
