The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: April 2026
Yet another week, and we are back with a mix of new series trending on Netflix, and if you have been keeping tabs on it, you will notice how fast things move around. Until last week, we had XO Kitty donning the global series chart, and this week, it’s been defeated by a true crime show nobody thought would do this well.
That show is Trust Me: The False Prophet, and it is winning with a story that is for an extremely curious crowd. The series is built on the story of a self-proclaimed spiritual leader who built a loyal following over time, and he did that by convincing people he had answers they had been searching for.
As the show begins, you start noticing quite early on that something is fishy. The best part is, you can see the warning signs before the people around him do, and that hook is what keeps you watching. The show also doesn’t rush the part about how he built his following. You actually see how people start trusting him, bit by bit, and how easily that trust goes wrong.
Then you’ve got XO, Kitty season three, which by now doesn’t need much introduction. Anyone still watching already knows Kitty’s habit of throwing herself into situations even when she probably shouldn’t. This season was interesting to watch because of all the characters who have grown around her. Min Ho, in particular, feels far more layered now, and the dynamic between the group has a bit more edge than before. Of course, Kitty’s impulsive choices are the main hook, but watching all the relationships evolve is always a good something to watch.
Then we have Danny Go!, which is in third place, and it’s fascinating to watch it this high, especially given its background. Originally built as a YouTube project, the show has done a great job jumping to Netflix without losing its personality. The format is built around movement and interaction, which explains why it’s doing so well with younger audiences. Danny Go! is clearly designed to hold attention in a different way compared to traditional kids’ programming. It’s always nice to witness a good show getting a bigger platform for a wider audience to reach.
Love on the Spectrum is the next in line, and it is back with its usual format. However, this season is gaining a lot of popularity with its confident approach. Season four of Love Is Blind keeps the focus on individuals as always. The structure of the show hasn’t changed much. Participants are still walked through the dating process with support from relationship coaches, but what stands out more now is how comfortable everyone seems on camera. And that’s the biggest reason why the conversations feel more natural and organic this season.
Next is Netflix’s biggest recent sensation: Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, which has drawn attention largely because of its title alone. It follows bride-to-be Rachel and her fiancé Nicky in the wedding week, and Rachel becomes convinced that something horrifying is waiting for her at the altar. It’s produced by the Duffer Brothers, so you know that it’s a quality watch.
The rest of the list has entries that are no way to be ignored. There’s the latest episode of Raw, followed by an old show that has resurfaced: The Cleaning Lady. It’s rare to watch an old show revived when there’s fierce competition between the new ones. Big Mistakes is still benefiting from early buzz, and ONE PIECE season two has finally moved to number nine after it had a long run in the Top five. Closing the list, we have Salish & Jordan Matter showing how creator-led content continues to find space on Netflix.
