The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: April 2026

You have seen these titles everywhere this week, so there’s nothing to be surprised about. We got a lot of new releases on Netflix last week; so many of the shows that were trending in March are off the list and have been replaced by the newcomers.

And topping the chart, we have XO, Kitty, season three, sitting with around 12.9million views. That didn’t just happen because people were curious. People were actually waiting for this one, and as soon as it arrived on Netflix, they finished it fast.

The completion rate on this season is unusually high for a teen drama, which basically means viewers didn’t drop it halfway. And Netflix knew exactly what it was doing by pulling the original film connections back into focus this season, as we saw Lana Condor, aka Lara Jean, reuniting with Kitty this season. That wasn’t random. Netflix saw what audiences reacted to earlier and just went with it. And clearly… it worked.

Next, we have Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. From the makers of Stranger Things, this show has gained a cult fanbase in a very short time with its unique and intriguing genre. While most new thrillers drop after the first week… this one stayed. It was released in the last week of March and has done nothing but climb on the Netflix chart. And when you look at how it was built, it makes sense. It follows a couple in the days leading up to their wedding, but things start getting weird in a way you can’t really explain. So if you haven’t tuned in yet, what are you doing?

Then, The Predator of Seville is a show about which it is safe to say that word of mouth is the reason behind its high ranking in the chart. The case at the centre of the series actually resurfaced in public discussion after the show dropped, especially in communities connected to study-abroad programs. And did you know that several interviews in the series were recorded years after the events? So you’re not just watching what happened; you are watching how people process it later.

Next is ONE PIECE season two, another fresh release still holding around 3.5 million views in its fourth week. Most shows would’ve dropped by now, but this one didn’t. As much as people resonated with the anime, it’s safe to say that the live-action version of the show has intrigued people equally. Plus, Netflix is already confirming season three before this season even finishes. That keeps people having faith that there’s more coming and it’s worth investing the time in.

Another hot Netflix show, which has made a smoking comeback, is Love on the Spectrum season four. This show consistently ranks among the highest-rated reality series in terms of audience response. People don’t just watch it; they like it. And adding more follow-ups with returning participants this season was a really smart move. Viewers were already attached, so giving them continuity just made it stronger. Same logic as ONE PIECE, although this is reality TV.

Of course, we have Raw in the list as usual. This week’s episode of Raw was mainly about pushing the WrestleMania storylines forward, with all the ongoing feuds getting more heated. And by the end, CM Punk going after Roman Reigns just made things worse between them right before the big event.

Then we have Homicide: New York, season two, which keeps benefiting from Dick Wolf’s style, and since people already trust that format, they keep showing up. The seventh season of Virgin River is still holding steady at number eight, followed by Beauty in Black season two. And ending the list, we have Ripple season one.

This is everything people have been watching globally on Netflix. And no matter how different the shows are from each other, they’re all worth watching.
