Starting at the top-most spot, we have A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE sprinkling some movie magic Stateside. Akin to the global charts, KPop Demon Hunters has also maintained its momentum, clutching silver in the week dated October 27th to November 2nd.

In the third position, it’s Emily Turner’s true-crime documentary, Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers, making waves on the Netflix charts. But instead of Ballad of a Small Player, it’s Geeta Gandbhir’s moving docu-film, The Perfect Neighbour, grabbing eyes in America at fourth.

Rounding out the top five trends on the US most popular movies chart is Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, filling in for the post-Halloween blues. While the thriller craze is palpable on Netflix worldwide, the animation frenzy is no less visible.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation has not only sneaked into the international rankings this week. In fact, it has found a more comfortable spot in the US, currently ranking sixth. Following just as closely thereafter is Despicable Me 3, clearly strengthening its stronghold on the charts more and more with each passing day.

Once you pass the animated slate, you’ll most definitely go back to square one, as is evident from the new entries in the most popular movies chart. By that, we mean that the US spectators are keeping the thrills alive one way or another, wherever they go, with a throwback mystery thriller starring Sandra Bullock, tiptoeing in at eighth, Premonition.

The sudden rise in the charts is not a surprise, considering Netflix has always been home to movies from the past that refuse to fade out with the influx of content. In fact, the claims grow clear as daylight when you see the title succeeding the 2007 movie, which is an action thriller starring Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx, called Law Abiding Citizen.

But for a balanced palate, fans have chosen a comedy flick to wrap up this week’s most popular movies in the US, a Melissa McCarthy starrer, Life of the Party, completing the set of trends on a jolly note, despite the seriousness of mystery thrillers all around.
