The 10 most popular movies on Netflix US this week: November 2025

As it turns out, it’s not just the most popular movies chart that boasts a complete overhaul of cinematic trends this week; the US one on Netflix is not far behind.

Yet, unlike the last few weeks, the peak certainly looks a lot different in Stateside than it does worldwide.

Starting right at the top, we have a spine-chilling documentary, The Carman Family Deaths, leading the pack at number one. The Netflix docu-film takes viewers back to September of 2016, revisiting the mysterious disappearance of 46-year-old Linda Carman and her 22-year-old son, Nathan, at sea during a fishing trip. While Linda was never found, Nathan was rescued eight days later when spotted drifting alone on a life raft.

Succeeding the US chart-topper this week is a title poles opposite in genre, In Your Dreams, directed by Alex Woo. The animated adventure comedy has maintained its ranking both in the most popular charts across the globe and in the US.

Meanwhile, the movie, holding the peak single-handedly internationally, Champagne Problems, is ranked third on the American chart. The shuffle becomes clearer in view with The Marksman, starring Liam Neeson, entering the race to compete with the top five titles.

As for the movie rounding out the first five, we have KPop Demon Hunters, still flaunting its grip on the most popular movies chart, as if no time has passed since its release on Netflix.

On the sixth, it’s Selena y Los Dinos: A Family’s Legacy, sprinkling its cinematic magic. Additionally, Netflix US viewers are collectively catalysing the rise of a blast from the past, an iconic ‘90s family comedy, The Sandlot, just in time for the holidays. The movie is ranked seventh on the most popular movies chart this week.

Just like global trends, the US also has a second holiday rom-com rising through the ranks, A Merry Little Ex-Mas. But in contrast to its international position, the Alicia Silverstone-starrer has fallen down two spots.

Speaking of unprecedented tumbles, Frankenstein has clearly suffered a lack of favouritism, slipping straight to the ninth position this week in the US. Lastly, rounding out the chart is a 2023 superhero flick based on the DC Comics character, Blue Beetle.
