The 10 most popular movies on Netflix US this week: March 2026

In more ways than one, the most popular movies on Netflix US this week reflect what’s trending worldwide. But even then, expect a few surprises along the way since Netflix cannot really do without at least one.

Starting right at the top, we have the sci-fi spectacle, War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson and Dennis Quaid, making waves on the most popular movies chart in the US. Globally, the sequel has amassed a whopping 44.4million views this week, becoming the number one movie in 87 countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, the Bahamas, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, and the US, among others.

While War Machine’s consecutive ranking at the top of the charts for two weeks straight is not exactly a shocker, what could be is Nuremberg’s rank on the most popular movies chart on Netflix US. Although the historical drama, inspired by true events, made itself at home on the global charts as well, it enjoys a far better ranking in the US, currently clutching silver.

Similarly, another movie that looks far more comfortable in its US rankings than global ones is the 2025 action thriller, Nobody 2. Despite its relatively recent entry in the US library, it is clearly storming the charts on third.

Likewise, Jurassic World Rebirth, which is currently at the bottom of the most popular movies global chart, in the week dated March 9th to March 15th, is ranked fourth in the US. And although the Dave Bautista action thriller is no longer present in the international rankings, Americans are clearly not done with Trap House yet, which rounds out the top five titles.

Moving on to what’s trending next on Netflix, it is the Oscar-winning KPop Demon Hunters, still sprinkling its Honmoon magic like the first day. The award-winning movie has already entered its sequel era, so don’t expect the animated flick to lose momentum just yet.

That said, up next on the list is yet another animated title, Trolls, climbing the charts since last week. Following it closely on number eight is another Jurassic World title, Jurassic World: Dominion.

Lastly, coming to the final two entries on the most popular movies chart on Netflix US, firstly, we have the Canadian thriller The Captive, starring Ryan Reynolds in ninth, followed by Gaslit by My Husband: The Morgan Metzer Story in tenth. With that, we officially come to a close for the week.
