The 10 most popular movies on Netflix US this week: June 2026
If you think you’ve seen it all on the most popular international movies chart on Netflix, the US one is here to surprise you in more ways than one. While it may not happen right at the start, all you need to do is hold on to your lattes and watch.
During the week of June 15th to June 21st, Jessica Dimmock’s chilling true crime movie, Maternal Instinct, was ranked right at the top of the most popular movies chart in the US for a second consecutive week. And honestly, it’s no surprise given it earned a whopping 25.5million views this week alone, becoming the number one movie in 25 countries.
Again, similar to the global rankings, ranked second on the most popular movies chart in the US this week is Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson’s heartfelt romantic comedy, Voicemails for Isabelle, directed by Leah McKendrick. Although this is only the movie’s debut week, it is currently ranked number one in 29 countries.
Moving on to the third, we have the 2014 Lifetime psychological thriller, Flowers in the Attic, making waves on Netflix. While the romance thriller also made it to the international charts, it clearly enjoys a far more comfortable spot in the United States.
That said, up next, we have back-to-back entries from the Percy Jackson series, which was recently added to the US library. Firstly, it’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief on the fourth, followed by Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters on the fifth. Since Netflix shouldered the responsibility of reviving the franchise’s momentum, it only makes sense that whatever follows.
But due to Percy Jackson taking the flight, Office Romance may have struggled a little, ultimately making itself right at home in the second half of the most popular movies chart. While the sizzling new rom-com also had to let go of its international top spot, in the US, it is currently ranked sixth.
Following closely on the most popular movies chart in the US is the animated sports comedy, GOAT, starring Caleb McLaughlin. Meanwhile, succeeding the Netflix movie is a biographical musical drama titled Song Sung Blue on the eighth.
Rounding out the trends in the week ending June 21st is the George Clooney-Julia Roberts-led romantic comedy, Ticket to Paradise, on ninth, and The Smurfs on tenth. And with that, it’s officially a wrap for the week.
