A lot has changed in the trending cinematic landscape on Netflix in the last two weeks. But the most popular movies chart this week have more surprises to offer.

While we know that The Woman in Cabin 10 did the unthinkable by toppling KPop Demon Hunters from the top spot, it turns out that the psychological thriller couldn’t hold on to its position for the third week either.

Instead, Kathryn Bigelow’s latest entry, A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE, has managed to crack the code, shooting up straight to number one with 22.1million views earned. The Rebeca Ferguson starrer is currently the top ten movie in 91 countries and the number one flick in 39 countries! Following closely in second position is Geeta Gandbhir’s true-crime documentary, The Perfect Neighbour, which remains strong with 20.2million views for its second week on the most popular movies chart.

Although KPop Demon Hunters has given up on its glory position, it’s far from leaving the race just yet. The animated movie is ranked third in the week dated October 20th to October 26th, as the number one flick in five countries. As for the Keira Knightley starrer, well, it has also dipped in trends with a steep downward leap from the summit to the fourth position.

The most popular movies chart on Netflix has undergone a visible shuffle within a week. However, like Maggie Kang’s record-breaking flick, the recent animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel, The Twits, has maintained its position at fifth. Clearly, nothing really beats the animation frenzy on the platform, and each new week is proof. With that, it’s officially a wrap for the top five candidates.

Speaking of the streaming craze, since The Woman in Cabin 10’s arrival, all eyes have been on psychological thrillers hidden in the library. Subsequently, a forgotten entry from the genre has been spotted rising through the ranks, Don’t Say a Word, currently positioned sixth. Succeeding right next is Taken in Plain Sight.

On the seventh is the recently released reboot, I Know What You Did Last Summer, still buzzing on the most popular movies chart as the top ten movie in three countries. Finally, rounding out the list are two of the most beloved animated titles, Despicable Me 3 and The Secret Life of Pets 2, sprinkling the light-hearted magic even amidst the Halloween jump-scares.
