The 10 most popular movies on Netflix this week: November 2025
The cinematic trends of November on Netflix were so electrifying that the ripple effects can still be felt strongly in December as the most popular movies chart undergoes a shuffle yet again.
The holiday rom-com fever was already palpable with Champagne Problem’s rise on the charts last week. And although the craze is far from fading out, the Minka Kelly-starrer has been toppled from the race by a Christmas-special romantic comedy instead, Jingle Bell Heist, in the week dated November 24th to November 30th.
The film debuted at the top of the most popular movies chart globally in its premiere week and is currently the number one movie in 53 countries, having amassed 19.3million views since its touchdown on November 26th.
While Mark Steven Johnson’s rom-com may have faced an unforeseen setback, Champagne Problems remains the second-most-watched movie of the week with 14.4million views earned.
In the third position, we have Netflix’s most-watched film of all time, KPop Demon Hunters, refusing to let go of the charts even after 24 weeks! Meanwhile, succeeding Maggie Kang’s record-breaking flick is yet another animated gem, Alex Woo’s In Your Dreams. After earning 9.3million views this week, it remains the top ten movie in 80 countries at the moment.
Rounding out the top five on the most popular movies chart globally is Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro’s passion project, Frankenstein. While the monster frenzy is clearly not over, neither is the movie magic, thanks to Clint Bentley’s groundbreaking new film, Train Dreams. The Joel Edgerton-starrer is currently ranked sixth on the charts, following its release on Netflix earlier in November.
On the seventh, it’s The Carman Family Deaths, fulfilling fans with their routine dose of true-crime documentaries. Although the traction surrounding the genre may have gone down in the last few weeks, what has clearly caught the eyes of viewers this holiday season are rom-coms.
Thus, it absolutely makes sense that A Merry Little Ex-Mas has also been maintaining its momentum on the most popular movies chart across the globe. For those uninitiated, it’s positioned eighth on the charts.
As for the movies wrapping up this week’s trends, we have Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and A Man Called Otto doing their thing. And with that, we have the most cherished top ten titles, stamp-approved by viewers on Netflix.
