The 10 most popular movies on Netflix this week: November 2025
Netflix has found yet another mainstay for its most popular movies chart globally, and it’s none other than Guillermo del Toro’s dream-come-true project, Frankenstein.
The Netflix adaptation didn’t waste any time shooting up to the peak last week, and the momentum is still going strong, having amassed a whopping 33.8million views alone in this one. To top that off, Frankenstein is currently the number one movie in 79 countries, including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Canada, and Chile, among many more.
While the monster magic keeps doing its thing, holiday rom-coms are honestly no less. Netflix already opened the floodgates to many Christmas rom-coms this November. But clutching silver on the most popular movies chart this time is A Merry Little Ex-Mas with 12.8million views earned as the number one film in two countries.
Rounding out the top three is an animated title we know all too well; after all, it has been ruling the chart for a staggering 22 weeks! Most of you must have guessed it by now, but for those who cannot pinpoint, it’s KPop Demon Hunters, towering with 11.6million views.
Succeeding the chart-topper is another animated gem, Alex Woo’s recently released adventure comedy, In Your Dreams. The film already boasts a promising 87% Rotten Tomatoes score, and its arrival on the most popular movies chart means Netflix has hit the mark with this one. Also following closely in the fifth position is a new Netflix documentary, Being Eddie.
A little down the line, on number six is a throwback legal drama film from 1996, A Time to Kill, starring Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson, and Matthew McConaughey. But that’s not the only crime drama fans have been showing some love to.
Succeeding the blast from the past is a neo-noir psychological thriller, The Little Things, followed by a relatively recent political thriller, A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE, which is proof that fans still have an appetite for crime stories that hit hard. While that completes the seventh and eighth titles on the most popular movies chart, the ninth spot belongs to Liam Neeson’s power-packed action-drama film, The Marksman.
Lastly, wrapping up the global trends this week is yet another timeless animated classic, Shrek Forever After. So, if you were struggling all along to find your next pick for the watchlist, we hope the audience’s favourites work out for you.
