Thomas Shelby has once again mounted the most popular movies chart on Netflix this week, leaping over the finishing line with a gangster’s kiss.

In the week dated March 23rd to March 29th, Steven Knight’s latest feature film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, directed by Tom Harper, amassed 19.4million views, dominating not just the most popular movies chart globally, but also becoming the number one movie in 60 countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico, among others.

But The Immortal Man is definitely not the only title minting views week after week. Giving the gangster movie a run for its money on the most popular movies chart yet again this week is the sci-fi spectacle, War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson and Dennis Quaid. In its fourth week on the global charts, the 2026 sequel garnered 10.3million views. Subsequently, it is a top ten movie trending in 93 countries this week.

Moving on to what’s next on the most popular movies chart, we have Jack Black and Paul Rudd’s action-adventure comedy, Anaconda, which serves as the meta-reboot of the 1997 movie and the seventh instalment in the franchise. Although the movie was recently added on March 25, the star-studded title is already ranked third globally with 7.9million views.

Up next is the only mainstay of the most popular movies chart, KPop Demon Hunters, still going strong in its 41st week. With 4.9million views earned this time around, the Oscar-winning title makes sure to establish that it remains undisputed. Meanwhile, rounding out the top five titles on the global charts this week is an animated comedy viewers simply cannot seem to get enough of: The Bad Guys 2.

Although with the onset of April, Netflix had to bid goodbye to two of the most iconic animated movies of all time, Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2, the sixth spot on the most popular movies chart in the last week of March belongs to Minions: The Rise of Gru. But if you think that’s the only surprise appearance Netflix boasts this week, you’re mistaken.

Quite surprisingly, the cult rom-com, What Happens in Vegas, has made it to this week’s most popular movies chart, and honestly, we’re not complaining; just rewatching. Speaking of what’s new on trends, the 2024 post-apocalyptic thriller, 40 Acres, is currently ranked seventh on the international charts.
