The 10 most popular movies on Netflix this week: June 2026
Nothing really builds up the steam mid-summer like a sizzling workplace rom-com, and the most popular movies chart on Netflix is once again proof.
Despite the sweltering heat of June, Netflix subscribers are sweating it out for very different reasons, thanks to Jennifer Lopez returning to her rom-com roots with the movie of the month, Office Romance.
In the week ending May 14th, Office Romance, starring Lopez and Brett Goldstein, amassed 24.6million views, refusing to let go of the most popular movie’s throne for a second straight week. As of now, the workplace romantic comedy is the number one movie in a whopping 66 countries, including Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Jamaica, among others.
Ranked second on the most popular movies chart this week is Jessica Dimmock’s shocking true-crime movie, Maternal Instinct, with 15million views. Currently, it is the number-one movie in four countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland.
Up next on the most popular movies chart is Nathan Greno’s animated fantasy adventure comedy, Swapped, still making waves following its record-breaking flight. During the week of June 7th to June 14th, the animated comedy garnered 5.7million views, making it right at home in its seventh week.
On the fourth, Netflix has yet another true-crime film, The Murder of Rachel Nickell, serving as the counterpart to its three-episode limited series, The Witness. The Netflix documentary has earned 5.4million views and is currently one of the top 10 trending titles in 32 countries. Meanwhile, ranked fifth on the most popular movies chart this week is Pierce Brosnan’s Southern noir thriller, Fast Charlie, with 3.9million views.
Following the 2023 movie, it’s KPop Demon Hunters reaching for the stars at number six. The Oscar-winning animated musical about a K-pop group of demon slayers is going strong in its 52nd week on the most popular movies chart with 3.6million views. But if you think that’s all the animated movies trending on Netflix’s weekly top 10 charts, you’re so wrong.
Succeeding the record-shattering, award-winning directorial feature by Maggie Kang is the animated Biblical movie David, followed by the animated sports-comedy, GOAT, starring Caleb McLaughlin.
That said, next in the queue is the George Clooney romantic comedy, Ticket to Paradise, ranked ninth on the most popular movies chart. As for the movie closing the trends for the week? Unsurprisingly, it’s the beloved animated comedy Bee Movie, which recently landed on Netflix shelves.
With the 2007 flick, the global weekly trend on Netflix this week is officially hijacked by 60% animated movies. And that alone underscores what a week the subscribers had!
