The 10 most popular movies on Netflix this week: February 2026

The most popular movies chart on Netflix this week might feel like a déjà vu to begin with. But once you scroll a little down, you’ll get a taste of what’s new and trending on Netflix.

Starting right at the top, there’s the Matt Damon and Ben Affleck-led cop thriller, The Rip, going stronger than ever in its third week since release. In the week from January 26th to February 1st, the action thriller amassed 14.6million views, becoming the number one movie in 16 countries.

Succeeding the punch-fest on the most popular movies chart on Netflix this week is the true-crime documentary that recounts one of the most chilling abductions, Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart. In its second week on the charts, the docu-film garnered 9.6million views. It is also the number one movie in 7 countries.

Up next, we have the Golden Globe-winning, Oscar-nominated animated musical, KPop Demon Hunters, making waves on the Netflix chart for its 33rd week. While Maggie Kang’s directorial has been dominating this award season, the impact is clearly not restricted to the glitz and glamour of red-carpet ceremonies. This week, it earned 6.8million views on the most popular movies chart globally.

Moving on, the 2015 family adventure war drama film, Max, directed by Boaz Yakin, has risen through the ranks. With 6.2million amassed, it is the number one movie in nine countries and the fourth worldwide. Rounding out the top five candidates on the most popular movies chart this week is an M. Night Shyamalan-directed crime thriller, Trap, with 5.4million views.

While Trap is also the number one title in 15 countries this week, following closely on the charts is the sci-fi action movie M3GAN 2.0. The film is ranked sixth with 5million views and was recently added to the platform as well.

On the seventh, there’s the first Emily Henry adaptation for the screen, People We Meet on Vacation, with 4.5million views. Although the romantic comedy has clearly gone down the charts, the momentum remains alive.

Meanwhile, ranked eighth on the most popular movies chart is the final James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig, No Time to Die. And next in line? It’s the Irish action thriller, In the Land of Saints and Sinners, climbing upwards.

Lastly, wrapping up this week’s chart is the 2024 documentary, Secret Mall Apartment, and with that, we officially come to a close.
