Ranked third on the most popular movies chart this week is the chaotic teen comedy, Roommates, from Netflix’s original slate of productions. With 8.8million views earned this week, the black comedy movie is one of the top 10 titles in 73 countries!

Positioned fourth on the most popular movies chart is the war-action thriller Sisu, whose 2025 sequel was making waves on Netflix just a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, rounding out the top five titles this week is Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time, the Oscar-winning KPop Demon Hunters, still going strong in its 44th week with 4.4million views.

By the looks of the weekly cinematic trendsetters, it’s clear as daylight that Netflix users are currently caught in the spell of high-octane action movies, regardless of whether they come with a comedic, revenge, or adventurous twist. But if you have second thoughts, we hope the next candidate, Sniper 2, clears the doubts for you.

That said, ranked seventh on the most popular movies chart this week is the sci-fi spectacle that simply refuses to let go of the trends, War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson and Dennis Quaid. This week, the sci-fi sequel amassed 3.5million views, ranking ahead of the Lifetime movie Husband, Father, Killer: The Alyssa Pladl Story, which garnered 3.4million views.
