The 10 most popular films on Netflix this week: September-October 2023

From heart-pounding suspense to heartwarming love stories, last week’s lineup on the Netflix top ten global chart (English) reflects the diverse tastes of its audience.

Leading the charge is Grant Singer’s crime thriller Reptile, starring Benicio Del Toro alongside Justin Timberlake and Alicia Silverstone. It has taken the first position with a whopping 40.2 million hours viewed in its debut week.

In the second spot, Australian romantic comedy Love is in the Air has been sweeping viewers off their feet with its romantic storyline. This film has garnered 17.3 million hours of views and 11.7 views overall.

The Nigerian revenge drama The Black Book takes the third position. The film has kept audiences hooked for two weeks in a row. Another new release, Spy Kids: Armageddon, continues its nostalgic journey in the fourth spot.

In fifth place is The Croods: A New Age, an animated sequel perfect for family fun. With 14.1 million hours viewed over two weeks, it’s evident that viewers are enjoying this prehistoric adventure.

Love at First Sight has finally slipped from the top spot and is now nestled at the sixth position with its charming love story. This British romcom has been captivating audiences for three weeks straight, accumulating 11.4 million hours of views this week.

Another new release, Philip Barantini’s thriller Accused, has struck a chord with viewers, claiming the seventh spot with 4.9 million hours of views. In eighth place, we have the action-comedy The Machine starring Mark Hamill.

The sci-fi thriller In Time, starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, holds its ground in the ninth spot. Rounding off the top ten is Force of Nature, the abysmally low-rated Mel Gibson action thriller.
