The 10 most popular films on Netflix this week: November 2023

The top ten global films list on Netflix has finally started reflecting the upcoming holiday spirit. There are the usual new releases and classic action flicks, along with quite a few Christmas-special features thrown in there.

At the forefront is Leo, the animated film featuring Adam Sandler’s voice. The comedy musical tells the story of Leo the Lizard, who has been stuck in the same Florida school for most of his life. When he finds out that he has one year to live, he plans his grand escape, but a rescue mission gets in the way.

Following is Mary Lambert’s Best. Christmas. Ever!, the wild and zany holiday caper starring  Heather Graham, Brandy Norwood, Matt Cedeño, and Jason Biggs.

David Fincher’s The Killer maintains a strong position at number three, with 17.5million hours viewed over its intense two-hour runtime. In the fourth spot, we have the romcom See You on Venus soaring past the other contenders from its tenth spot last week.

Jules, a newcomer, has swiftly captured the fifth position. The film stars Ben Kingsley, and the blurb of the film sounds just as fascinating as its main star: “Milton lives a quiet life of routine in a small western Pennsylvania town but finds his day upended when a UFO and its extra-terrestrial passenger crash land in his backyard.”

Triple Frontier and Lone Survivor are the action flavours of the week. It’s followed by two more Christmas movies: The Christmas Chronicles at the seventh spot, and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, claims the eighth position. Closing the top ten is another festive story, Falling for Christmas.
