Every week, we bring you the Netflix top ten most popular English films globally, and today is the day again.
Topping the charts is David Fincher’s The Killer, a gripping neo-noir thriller that has amassed an astonishing 55.7million hours of viewing in just seven days. Closely trailing behind is last week’s number-one film, Locked In, directed by Nour Wazzi and starring Finn Cole, Rose Williams and Famke Janssen.
For those craving high-octane action, F9: The Fast Saga continues to race through the charts, currently in the third position. Directed by Justin Lin and featuring Vin Diesel, this adrenaline-fueled spectacle has notched up 24.9million hours of viewing. Fast cars and daring stunts make F9 a wonder watch for fans of the franchise.
In the fourth spot, we have the Sylvester Stallone documentary Sly, closely followed by the Diana Nyad biopic starring Annette Bening and Jodi Foster, NYAD.
David Yates’ Pain Hustlers, featuring Chris Evans and Emily Blunt, may have been critically bashed for its tired rehash of the opioid epidemic-fueled greed, but it has been in the top ten for three weeks now. The film is currently at the sixth spot, with 10.6m hours viewed in the last week.
Other notable entries in the top ten include Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, an animated triumph directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, the 2023 shark-attack thriller Deep Fear directed by Marcus Adams, and Michael Bay’s war drama 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
Rounding off the top ten is Hans Petter Moland’s dark comedy-action flick Cold Pursuit, starring Liam Neeson as yet another vengeful father.
