Topping the charts at number one is Damsel, a tale of dragons and sacrificial princesses starring Millie Bobby Brown, Robin Wright, Angela Bassett and more. It has captured the attention of 35.3million viewers globally in its debut week on the streaming platform.
Following closely behind is Code 8 Part II, the sequel to the original sci-fi thriller. With 11.9million views, this action-packed film, starring the Amell brothers, explores a world where superhumans are both feared and revered, diving deeper into the moral dilemmas they face. Meanwhile, Code 8 secured the fourth spot with 5.7million views.
In third place is Johan Renck’s Spaceman, starring Adam Sandler as a forlorn astronaut adrift in space with a giant, talking spider. With 10.8million views, this film has been able to transport Netflix audiences to distant galaxies as they follow the journey of the lone astronaut making sense of his life in space and back on Earth.
Rounding out the top five is Tyler Perry’s terribly panned erotic thriller Mea Culpa. Further down the list, you’ll find an eclectic mix of beloved classics and family favourites, from the animated charm of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which has been on the list for an astounding 12 weeks, to Despicable Me 3 and Minions.
And let’s not forget the timeless tale of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, which continues to spread cheer with 3.1million views this week alone. And finally, rounding off the top ten is Noah, the biblical retelling of Noah’s Ark starring Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, and others.
