It’s official, the Holidays are officially here, and that means that this week’s most popular chart is dominated by cosy, warm and ultimately Christmassy films, locked and loaded to entertain the entire family.
Unlike the best series of this week, the film chart is a little more settled. There are no heavy hitters and no single film that has dominated the chart. Instead, there is a healthy split of content, with The Noel Diary at the top of the chart with 27.5 million hours of viewing. It is just one of many Christmas-focused movies on the chart.
Elsewhere there is Christmas on Mistletoe Farm, Lindsay Lohan’s return to the silver screen, Falling For Christmas, as well as the new entries Angel Falls Christmas and the wonderfully animated Scrooge: A Christmas Carol. It does a lot to confirm that the Holiday season is well and truly here.
There are a few different options, though, if you’re not entirely ready for Santa Claus to preside over your entire existence. Firstly, there is the exceptionally created coming-of-age tale The Swimmers which takes the second spot in this week’s chart. Elsewhere there is the hotly-anticpated Lady Chatterley’s Lover starting Emma corrin and Jack O’Connell, providing the steamier side of the chart.
Jason Momoa’s cosy travels through the dream world in Slumberland is also steadfast on the chart this week, with 18 million hours of viewing in fourth place. But one of the more interesting titles on our list is Bullet Train by Brad Pitt.
A full-throttle action movie with enough acerbic wit to keep almost everybody in the household happy, Bullet Train is the perfect Friday night viewing for everybody. Add to this the disturbing yet fascinating documentary Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich, and we have ourselves a complete list.
