Ted Danson returns with a “juicy” case in ‘Man on the Inside’ season 2 trailer
Missing cosy comedies on Netflix? Well, the streamer just dropped a brand-new trailer for the return of Man on the Inside, and it looks like Ted Danson has a really “juicy” case simmering for the show’s sophomore turn.
The trailer shows Charles Nieuwendyk, portrayed Danson, craving a real new P.I. case, and just in time, he finds the perfect opportunity to go undercover on a college campus.
In the upcoming instalment, the President of Wheeler College, Jack Berenger, approaches the Man on the Inside protagonist after his laptop, worth $400million, is stolen, giving Charles just what he wants: a “juicy” case to follow. Subsequently, Charles goes undercover on the college campus as the new professor, since the only chance at getting the answers to all the mysteries brewing is for Jack to have a man on the inside.
According to the synopsis, Jack has been receiving threats from a mysterious blackmailer. But the questions are one too many: “Who’s making these threats? Does it have something to do with the iconoclastic billionaire Brad Vinick, a Wheeler graduate, and his proposed donation to the school?”
Upon his arrival at Wheeler College, Charles gets suspicious of everyone. But what comes as a shock to many is that he gets distracted by a free-spirited music teacher, Mona, whose presence in life reawakens the feelings he thought he buried following the demise of his wife. Whether it’s really his second chance at love is for viewers to find when the second season premieres on Netflix this November 20th. Yet, what if she’s the criminal he has been tailing all this time? Because, as he says, everyone’s a suspect, and so is Mona.
On the other hand, Charles’s daughter, Emily, is really uplifted by the shifts in his life, which, in turn, sparks a rekindled interest in a long-lost passion. Simultaneously, P.I. Julie takes on a journey of evolution and growth just as she reconnects with a significant figure from her past.
Besides the first season returnees, joining Man on the Inside season two are several new faces, including Gary Cole as Brad Vinick, Michaela Conlin as Andrea Yi, Max Greenfield as Jack Berenger, Sam Huntington as Max Griffin, Jason Mantzoukas as Apollo Lambrakis, Constance Marie as Vanessa, David Strathairn as Dr Cole, Jill Talley as Holly Bodgemark, Madison Hu as Claire, Lisa Gilroy as Kelseigh Rose, Linda Park as Elizabeth Muki, and Mary Steenburgen as Mona Margadoff.
Netflix didn’t just release an exciting trailer for what’s to come. It also shared first-look images from Mike Schur’s Man on the Inside for an additional sneak peek into Charles’s new case.
