Watch Taylor Swift’s favourite Christmas film on Netflix now

American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift has always admittedly been a hopeless romantic. With countless love songs across her albums, she has always been vocal about love, heartbreaks and romance. It is only natural for her to have a favourite Christmas rom-com to binge on that warms her heart, and you would be glad to know that it is now streaming on Netflix.

Swift has always proclaimed her Love for the Holiday rom-com, Love Actually. In a 2014 interview with Teen Vogue, the Grammy winner opened up about how the film had a huge impact on her.

“Did you ever watch the movie Love Actually where Hugh Grant’s voiceover says, ‘If you look around, love actually is all around?’ That’s my favourite motto,” she was quoted saying.

Richard Curtis’ 2003 flick is arguably one of the greatest Holiday rom-coms of the 21st century. After producing three epic rom-coms, namely Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Bridget Jones’ Diary, Curtis waltzed into our hearts with this film that not only boasts of a star-studded ensemble cast but also dreamy storylines that intersect each other.

With an overwhelming feel-good factor, the film revolves around nine couples as they try to grapple with turbulent feelings and emotional conflicts right at the brink of the Holiday season.

Starring Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Andrew Lincoln, Laura Linney, Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman and Chiwetel Ejiofor, the film has become a certified classic for the general Holiday lovers who live for iconic moments like Grant’s waltz scene, Mark’s confession to Juliet using placards or the entire moving storyline between Liam Neeson and his stepson as they try to build a connection.

The film is not filled with fuzzy turtlenecks and heartwarming, swoon-worthy moments and has its fair share of heartbreaks, especially in the story where Alan Rickman gradually finds himself sauntering away from his wife both physically and emotionally.

A Christmas classic like Love Actually feels like a warm, comforting hug on a gloomy day, even 18 years after its release. We bet even Swift bawls her eyes out, just like us, while guzzling down a cup of hot cocoa and marshmallows and bingeing on this Christmas classic.
