Take a first look at ‘Game of Thrones’ creator's new Netflix film

DB Weiss, widely known for his memorable HBOMax creation, Game of Thrones, is coming back with a brilliant Netflix film in April 2022.

Titled Metal Lords, the first-look photos of the film, have been released on Twitter. The characters in the movie include Knives Out’s Jaeden Martell, Adrian Greensmith from Harlan Coben’s Shelter and Wanderlust’s Isis Hainsworth.

The caption reads, “Two kids start a metal band in high school where exactly two kids care about metal.” In this head-banging film, Greensmith will play the Glenwood High School outcast, Hunter, a massive fan of Black Sabbath and Slipknot.

Tormented by bullies and plagued by memories of his absent father, Hunter releases his frustration, rage and melancholy via the metal head-bangers and finds solace in music.

Martell will be seen as his best friend and Skullfucker bandmate Kevin.

Together, they rope in bassist Emily, played by Hainsworth, who is not a metalhead and has a lot of anger and rage to channel into her music as they aspire to win the Battle of Bands.

Weiss will serve as a producer besides Game of Thrones alum David Benioff. They praised Greensmith’s acting, saying, “you needed somebody who would sink their emotional hooks into you without having lots of obvious dialogue.”

After his successful venture, The Chair with Sandra Oh, Weiss will be back with the film on April 8th, 2022.
