‘Stranger Things: The Finale’ is coming to over 500 theatres near you
Hell broke loose in Hawkins just last week, but it’s about time to welcome the eye of the storm, Stranger Things: The Finale, in theatres near you as the Netflix series finale goes to big screens.
While the wait between the three-part release surely sucks, it promises a month full of all things Stranger Things, and the first of many exciting such updates is that the finale will be screened in over 500 theatres across the US and Canada.
Netflix has confirmed the theatre locations that will screen the series finale, starting December 31st at 17.00 PT and running through January 1st, 2026. Fans can visit ST5Finale.com for the entire list of locations, and the site also contains instructions on how to RSVP for your seats.
According to Variety, tickets are not to be sold for the finale screenings. Instead, exhibitors will put a price on concession vouchers, which will guarantee fans a seat at the screening. The theatre owners will retain the revenue from the screenings. Since Netflix’s owned theatres won’t sell tickets or concession vouchers, fans can sign up on the RSVP list.
“We’re beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of Stranger Things in theatres – it’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and we’re so grateful to Ted, Bela, and everyone at Netflix for making it happen,” the Duffer brothers told Tudum.
“Getting to see it on the big screen, with incredible sound, picture, and a room full of fans, feels like the perfect – dare we say bitchin’ – way to celebrate the end of this adventure.”
Before the finale premieres on Netflix globally as well as in theatres near you, the second volume will hit the streaming shelves on Christmas Day 2025, with three episodes. While you wait, you can most obviously catch up with the first volume of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, currently streaming on Netflix.
The fifth season of the hit sci-fi series picks up the Upside Down saga in the fall of 1987 as Hawkins recovers and regroups to take Vecna down after he opened the Rifts in the fourth season. While the Hawkins gang are reunited for a single goal, which is to find and finish Vecna, the big bad has ominously vanished from the scene, leaving our heroes to stay on their toes 24/7.
Meanwhile, Hawkins has been under strict military quarantine, and the army, led by Dr Kay, will stop at nothing until they capture Eleven. But as the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, dark clouds hover over the town’s battered landscapes, which is a sign that the end is clearly near.
