'Stranger Things' star Sadie Sink to appear in new Netflix horror trilogy

Sadie Sink who stars as Max Mayfield in the all-conquering nostalgia-fest Stranger Things is now set to take on another retro set of horror classics with Netflix. A recent clip has revealed that the star will feature in the upcoming Fear Street trilogy.

With Netflix driving more original content moving forward, with the aim of releasing one new movie every week, the service released a supercut of forthcoming features, ending with a glimpse of Sink in a starring horror role.

The Fear Street saga starts is based on the work of Goosebumps writer R.L. Stine. It begins in 1994 with a group of teenagers investigating a spooky series of events in the small Ohio town of Shadyside. Thereafter, the film will cover three different time periods as it delves back to the 1600s. Netflix will be releasing each of the three  Fear Street movies a month apart.

The project is directed by Leigh Janiak and stars an ensemble cast of, Gillian Jacobs, Kiana Madeira, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Olivia Welch, Emily Rudd, Ashley Zukerman, Fred Hechinger, Benjamin Flores Jr, Julia Rehwald and Jeremy Ford.

As of yet the only release date touted by Netflix is mid 2021, thus a more specific announcement can surely be expected imminently.
