‘Stranger Things 5’: Netflix releases behind-the-scenes video ahead of final season

Stranger Things is officially gearing up for its grand farewell, and Netflix just made the wait even harder. A brand-new featurette titled “One Last Adventure” has landed on YouTube, and it’s giving fans a sentimental and action-packed look at the show’s fifth and final season.

The video wastes no time and dives straight into the testimonials of the cast. Early clips flash back to Hawkins in its early days, reminding us why this story captured the world in the first place. As Matt Duffer puts it, “There’s something magical about childhood… that ultimately is the heart of the story of Stranger Things.”

In less than three minutes, the teaser makes you completely nostalgic as it takes you back to the initial seasons of Stranger Things. Not just that, Netflix has mixed it with fresh footage, including glimpses of Vecna, a monstrous new threat, and our heroes heading into the Upside Down for the last time.

The cast reflections hit just as hard. We see how much the kids have grown, both on screen and off. At one point, Winona Ryder said, “We’ve grown up as a family. I got to watch these kids grow up, which was the biggest gift that this show has given me.” It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes honesty that turns a promo clip into something personal, almost like a love letter to the fans who’ve stuck around since 2016.

And why not? Stranger Things was and will remain one of the pioneering shows in the history of Netflix, and it’s hard to think of something that will come close to this masterpiece.

But it’s not all misty-eyed goodbyes. Netflix makes it clear that the endgame will be bigger than anything Hawkins has faced before. The Duffers promise that “this is the biggest season we’ve ever had in terms of action, in terms of visual effects, and in terms of story.” Judging by the new battle shots teased at the end of the video, they aren’t exaggerating.

The countdown is officially on. Stranger Things 5 will unfold in three drops: Volume one on November 26th, Volume two on Christmas Day, and The Finale on New Year’s Eve, each hitting at 5 pm PT. That means fans will spend the holiday season back in Hawkins, watching the party come together one last time.

If you weren’t already planning to clear your calendar, this featurette will change that. Stranger Things five isn’t just another season… It’s the last adventure, and Netflix just gave us a glimpse of how epic and emotional it’s going to be.
