The shows and films being added to Netflix this week

The start of the new week can be daunting. Five full days until the next weekend, you’re gonna need a few weekday pick-me-ups, right? Luckily for you, Netflix has got entertainment covered.

Among the most exciting things coming to the streaming service is John Lee Hancock’s Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, which will be arriving on Netflix on October 5th. Based on a short story by Stephen King, this new horror film follows a teenager who befriends an elderly man who shortly dies after their newfound relationship. Visiting his grave, the boy sends texts one last message to the man, only to receive an eerie reply from the deceased ghost himself.

Starring Jaeden Martell, Donald Sutherland, Cyrus Arnold, Alexa Niziak, Kirby Howell, Baptiste, and Joe Tippett, the new film adds to a wealth of horror content coming to Netflix this Halloween season.

As well as Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, the brand new thriller flick Luckiest Girl Alive also hits the streaming service on October 7th. Starring Mila Kunis, Connie Britton, Jennifer Beals, Finn Wittrock, Scoot McNairy, and Justine Lupe, the intense thriller follows a woman in New York who is asked by a documentarian to discuss a past trauma, whereupon her dark past begins to unfurl.
